Draftsman Two years experience in engineering drafting. This was the hard way... with pen, not CADD!

Aerospace Engineering Studied Aerospace and Ocean Engineering at Va Tech. Group senior design project won a national design competition for designing the next generation space shuttle.

Engineering Technician Almost 2 years experience working for an engineering R&D firm. Mostly working on government contracts which, sorry, I can't tell you about!

Night Classes Three years of night courses in Design, Drawing and Photography at a local college.

Graphic Designer Three years at a high volume design studio, using traditional production methods: specifying type, operating stat camera and creating board mechanicals. Instrumental in computerizing production process.

Ballard Dezign - Owner/Principal Started this successful full-service graphic design studio in 1990. Provides all aspects of conceptualizing, directing and creating printed materials and on-line graphics.

NorthStar Trainer Occasional trainer for hands-on, one-day, computer classes in Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop and Design Basics to professionals, corporate and government employees.
